Infrastructure for mentors' AI channels

LIGHTNET is building a platform where mentors create AI channels based on their methods and people receive ongoing support. We connect trusted human practice with AI aligned to long-term flourishing.

Thesis

Most AI products start with a general-purpose assistant. LIGHTNET starts with the mentor. Their method, practices and boundaries guide the channel, while each person keeps control of their life and data.

What we are building

We are building infrastructure for mentors' channels, with tools for reflection, goals, practices and ongoing support. Our long-term goal is Flourishing AI. Its development should account for whether it helps someone move forward, as well as whether they like the immediate answer.

What can grow over time

Today, technology can be copied in a weekend. Three parts of LIGHTNET are harder to copy and grow over time:

  • A network of mentors and their audiences, with the network effects that creates.
  • Longitudinal data about people's lives over months. Almost no one has these trajectories; our product produces them through use.
  • The trust people place in their mentors and the methods those mentors have developed. Neither can be reproduced by copying the technology.
